Genome assembly: SaiBol1.0 (GCA 000235385.1)

This release features the first preliminary assembly of the Bolivian squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis boliviensis) genome, SaiBol1.0 (GCA_000235385.1), provided by the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in October 2011. This whole genome shotgun assembly was produced from Illumina short-read sequence data using ALLPATHS-LG assembly software developed by the Broad Institute. The assembly comprises 2685 toplevel sequences, all of which are unplaced scaffolds (from 151,413 contigs). The N50 of the contigs is 38.8 kb and the N50 of the scaffolds is 18.4 Mb. The N50 size is the length such that 50% of the assembled genome lies in blocks of the N50 size or longer.
